Sima has been enamored with art almost her whole journey on this earth. She pursued art in every setting she could, culminating in studying both studio art and English literature at a small liberal arts college.

Just a few years later her steps took her to the Savannah College of Art and Design to pursue her Masters in Illustration. That is where her signature collage style was born. She takes the soft ethereal feel of pastels and combines them with the clean, crisp edge of cut paper.

Her style has evolved to include found objects and other textures as the work speaks to her with its needs. She has worked extensively in acrylics, charcoal, pencil drawing, and prints (both with a press and not). She has experience with oil painting, some ceramics/sculpture, colored pencil and others.
